New machines for cancer treatment at Zimbabwe's major hospitals

he government says it is installing new cancer treatment machines in some of the country's major hospitals to address the challenges faced by the increasing number of cancer patients.
The setting up of the machines will begin with Parirenyatwa and Mpilo hospitals to ease the burden on most cancer patients who end up travelling long distances to seek treatment.
The Deputy Minister of Health and Child Welfare Dr Douglas Mombeshora said government will ensure that the machines are installed in all government hospitals.
Founder of Breast Cancer Alleviation Zimbabwe, Dr Wilson Mandere challenged the business community to provide solutions for basic health needs through the public-private partnership.
