People living with disabilities are important in society - Timothy Stamps

The Health Advisor in the President's Office, Dr Timothy Stamps says people living with disabilities play an important role in developing the nation.
Dr Stamps said this at the launch of Hope Resurrect Trust, which aims to assist the disabled girl-child.
He said there should be a change of mindset towards people living with disabilities as they contribute to the economic development of the country.
Speaking at the same event, founder of the trust, Miss Florence Mudzingwa said she hopes to see girls with disabilities being empowered with life enhancing skills.
Hope Resurrect Trust aims to integrate people living with disabilities especially the girl child in to society.
According to NASCO, only two percent of the total seven percent of disabled people nationally are employed in the formal sector.
