Ekusileni Hospital cannot continue to lie idle - Parirenyatwa

The Minister of Health and Child Care, Dr David Parirenyatwa says the Ekusileni Hospital in Bulawayo cannot continue to lie idle.
Speaking at the graduation ceremony of 163 nurses from the United Bulawayo Hospital, Dr Parirenyatwa said machines at the medical institution are obsolete and new ones are required.
He said his ministry's mandate is to ensure the hospital has adequate infrastructure for the benefit of the present and future generations.
Turning to the graduates, Minister Parirenyatwa said it is important for them to continue with their education in order to keep abreast with new challenges in the health sector.
The Ekusileni Hospital has been closed since 2004 when it briefly opened its doors to the public for three months.
