Patients at Kwekwe General Hospital are complaining over what they described as very slow service at the referral centre.
Patients who spoke to this reporter said that just getting their cards stamped was a hustle, as they had to wait until nearly 09:00hrs.
"All we get are speech after speech from the medical staff, but not much service.
"Although, I appreciate the motive behind the speeches, I also expect speedy service. How can a sick person wait up to 9am just to get their card stamped. Then getting BP and other vital statistics checked is usually started late," complained a patient who requested anonymity.
Another patient said that he had brought his very sick mother as early as 06:00hrs, but had to wait till 08:45hrs to receive any assistance.
"The nurses love to talk. If talking resulted in service, we would be satisfied. But all they do is talk.
"Imagine being very Ill and having to sit there and receive very minimal service," said Tafadzwa Miti.
When contacted for comment, the superintendent was unavailable.
