Minister of Health and Child care Dr David Parirenyatwa has revealed that Kana Mission Hospital has received $40 000 meant for the refurbishment of facilities at the institution.

Speaking in parliament the minister said Kana Mission Hospital is currently being funded through the Public Sector Investment Programme and $40 000.00 has been disbursed to the hospital.

"They have used it for the refurbishment of the Out Patients section, new ablution blocks, construction of new kitchen and replacement of roofs in the male and female wards, pharmacy, staff room, dressing room and verandas," he said.

"The hospital is still included in the 2016 Budget and it is the prerogative of the respective institution to make its own priorities and they can put the mortuary as their next priority project if funds are made available by Treasury."
