Two minors drown while swimming in dam

Two minors aged 9 and 10 years drowned at Masasa dam in Mazowe West Mashonaland Central province on Friday the 21st of October.
Mashonaland Central police confirmed the incident.
It is alleged Shine Jezani (9) and his right hand man Brighton Katumba were having a swimming competition in Masasa dam around 18:00hours when Katumba failed to finish the race due to fatigue.
Jezani could not let his friend drown when he saw him drowning he dashed to help, little did he know that was the end of their lives as Katumba held him tight resulting in the two drowning together.
A spectator of the race who is also a minor went and informed the deceased peoples' parents and a police report was made at Caesar Mine police station.
The bodies were retrieved and they have since been buried side by side at Masasa farm Meanwhile, cases of drowning are mushrooming in Mashonaland Central and police is urging people to be careful with water especially minors who seem to be on the apex of the death graph.
