The Mthwakazi Republic Party is growing from strength to strength throughout the world and in the United Kingdom in particular.
The MRP steering committee met in High Wycombe today 30/09/2017 in genuinely and democratic exercise meant to strengthen the party and fortify its electoral position heading to the national elections.
The MRP will be contesting the elections, however, they will only be contesting in Mthwakazi constituencies. When the MRP first took this position it received widespread condemnation, however, when the electoral strategy and electoral engagement strategies were clearly articulated and its long term implications were laid bare many people started understanding and thereby changing their minds in support of the MRP engagement strategy.
"We know what we are doing, the participation is deliberate strategy which has already started yielding the intended results. We are aware of the strength and weakness of the strategy, however, when combined with a plethora of other strategies we are sure the intended goals will be achieved" explained Mr Hikhwa, who is the current chairperson of the MRP UK Chapter.
Mr Hikwa went on to explain that the current focus of the MRP is to push back the evil effects of the Shona Grand Plan of 1979. When asked what the grand plan entails Mr Hikwa said that in 1979 some Shona intellectuals crafted a devious and divisive document in London, which spelled out how Zimbabwe would be run in an independent Zimbabwe. He explained that the thrust of the document is about tribal superiority, tribal dominance and the destruction of the Mthwakazi nation.
"As MRP we believe that the core problem faced by our people could be located in that document, our resolve to push it back is unshakable" Mr Hikwa said and continued "the impact of the grand plan can be felt and found every sphere of life in Mthwakazi, without a deliberate counter-strategy it would be difficult to reverse their gains. Look at the employment field the zanu pf government quickly staffed all strategic organisations, both private and public with its personnel, the results have been that our Mthwakazi people have been denied employment opportunities, also look at the education sector, what is happening there is genocide, Shona speaking teachers teaching our children at a tender age, they culturally condition them against their own identity, their academic achievements are curtailed, this is not acceptable, they even dare use the institutions such as the NUST as instruments of pushing the grand plan"
It seems that the MRP's strategy of focusing on the grand plan which affects people on a personal level is paying huge dividends, this is evidenced by its growth and appeal across the political spectrum. Th
As the national elections draw near the MRP has been out in full swing, mingling and interacting with the people. Mr Mqondisi Moyo the MRP president is growing in stature and slowly becoming a political force to reckon with, a political force you cannot ignore.
Today's meeting saw the UK Chapter coming up with resource mobilisation techniques and strategies towards the national elections.
