Pedestrians injured after car mounts pavement in London

London police said on Saturday a number of pedestrians had been injured near the city's Natural History Museum and that a man had been arrested at the scene after British media reported a car had mounted the pavement outside the tourist attraction.
Police described the incident in the South Kensington area of London as a collision and said the motive for the incident was under investigation.
A statement from the Metropolitan Police said: "Police were called at 1421 on Saturday, 7 October to reports of a collision in Exhibition Road, South Kensington. It is believed that a number of pedestrians have been injured. Officers are on scene, and the London Ambulance Service have been called.
"A man has been detained at the scene. Enquiries to establish the circumstances and motive are underway. If you have any information about this incident, please call 101."
