Zim pastors fleece US man of his life savings

MESQUITE, Texas - Herbert Fain gets up every morning and prays.
"I say, 'Lord make me a blessing to somebody today, and let me help somebody today,'" Fain said through tears.
That's why when a man came up to him at a local business and asked him for a ride, he didn't think twice about it.
"I said, 'Sure. I won't charge you any money.' He said he was from Zimbabwe," Fain recalled.
The man said he needed a ride back to a motel in Mesquite. Once at the motel, another man jumped in his truck and told him to drive to the bank. They told him they had money they wanted to donate to charity.
"He talked about the Lord, and the other man said he was Baptist and said he was a Christian, too. 'Same kind you are.'"
But once at the bank, the two men made Fain ask the tellers to give him the amount Fain had in his accounts. Armed with that information, they made Fain drive to yet another bank to withdraw the money.
"He told me where to park," Fain said. "'We're watching you from every angle.'"
So he withdrew his life savings - more than $6,000.
The men jumped out of his truck and ran. They left Fain and his wife with only a few dollars in their account.
"I just can't fathom there are people out there like that," said Fain's wife, Joyce.
"We have to go forward and know that we do have to keep helping people, because that's our mission - to be helpful to others."
And that's also why they are sharing their story with you.
