Basel - An active unborn baby caused a traffic accident in Switzerland when it kicked hard inside its mother's womb, causing her to lose control of her vehicle, police said on Friday.
The woman, a German national, was driving near Basel on Thursday when she felt a sharp kick. She lost control of her car, which hit an electricity pole and a fence and then turned on its side.
The mother, who is nine months pregnant, was only slightly injured. A police spokesperson could not provide details about the unborn's health, but confirmed that the car was completely damaged.
