Senior MDC-T official dies in UK

A SENIOR member of the MDC-T United Kingdom branch - Khama Matambanadzo - has died in Britain, officials announced.
He was the district chairman for MDC-UK south-east district and was reported to be unwell in hospital recently.
Announcing his passing on an official said: "It is with our deepest sorrow that I announce the passing away of our Leader, Khama Matambanadzo, the District Chairman for South East District of the MDC UK & Ireland. Leader Matambanadzo who died in the early hours of today, the 9th of July 2012, has left a big gap that can be very difficult to fill".
"In the period that we have worked together, he has been a pillar of strength for our South East District and the UK & Ireland External Structure as a whole. He has been a steadfast Leader and Gallant Fighter for democracy who was determined to work tirelessly with the MDC family to deliver on the people's struggle for real change in Zimbabwe," a statement ready from the MDC-UK website.
Mourners are gathered at 29 Frogmore Crescent, Slough, SL1 9BN. Funeral arrangements are yet to be announced.
