Miss African Spirit strives to impact lives through fashion

The elegant and diligent Gumisai Makombe, former Miss African Spirit will be hosting a fashion show and the proceeds will go to the children at Maranatha Shelter this approaching Thursday 16th August. This mainly anticipated fashion show is set to be pleasing to the eye and is going to be held at the Tiger Tiger in Newcastle upon Tyne. Makombe has compassion for underprivileged children and during her reign pledged to support the parentless children with fundamental needs such as medication, school fees, food etc.
Maranatha Shelter is a charity organization in Zimbabwe, recognised in the Sanyati area and seeks to raise orphan awareness worldwide. This is a black tie event and is set to be successful after careful planning and consideration. The endowed designers showcasing their clothes range include Tribal Twist, Christopher Niara, Jet Clothing, Vintage Princess Jewellery to name a few and will be showcased by 16 striking catwalk models from around the UK. Dj Udo will be on the decks whilst celebrity guests such as Richard Kilty, a Great Britain International 100m & 200m sprinter, presently coached by 1992 Olympic 100m champion Linford Christie will be gracing the event alongside his surprise Olympian friends that he shall be bringing. The assiduous Maranatha Shelter C.E.O Tafadzwa Jambwa and other leaders will also give speeches on behalf of the charity.
Hundreds of guests are confirmed and entry fee is five pound.
