London - According to @wikileaks on Twitter the Ecuadorian Embassy has been surrounded by five police vans and a helicopter is hovering above the Ecuadorian Embassy in London. The target is Julian Assange.

Ecuador has accused the UK of making a "threat" to enter its embassy in London to arrest Wikileaks' Julian Assange.

Julian Assange sought refuge at the Ecuadorian embassy on June 19 so that he could avoid extradition to Sweden where he faces charges for alleged sexual misconduct.

Police have blocked the roads around the embassy. Trucks carrying supplies for Harrods, the department store, have been turned away from the loading bay.

Scotland Yard has said that they plan on entering the embassy in London to arrest Assange.

Three police officers are standing at the entrance of the embassy. This has been standard since June when Assange failed to show up to parole as per his bail. This is because
Assange breached his bail conditions several months ago.

It is believed that Assange is inside the embassy. An announcement from the Ecuador government is scheduled to take place early this afternoon in London as to if Assange has been granted asylum.

At this time the situation is very low. Digital Journal
