Ebola death toll more than doubles in DRC

The death toll of an outbreak of Ebola has more than doubled in northeastern Democratic Republic of Congo and was not under control.
In the past week up to 31 people have died, the World Health Organisation said on Thursday.
"The epidemic is not under control ... On the contrary the situation is very, very serious," Eugene Kabambi, a spokesman for WHO in Kinshasa told Reuters by telephone.
The disease has stricken people in the towns of Isiro and Viadana in Orientale province.
