A man dangling off high-tension cables 30 feet above the ground.
A drunk man was found dangling off high-tension power cables after climbing up a 30ft electricity pole in China.
The man clung to the high-tension wires for 15 minutes as he tried to move slowly along the cables while dangling above a nine-metre drop.
Firefighters tried to talk the man down as he slipped and dropped from one set of cables to another.
One stunned onlooker caught the terrifying incident, which happened on Friday, on camera which was then broadcast on state TV in China.
The power supply to the area, in downtown Linfen, in north China's Shanxi Province, was cut to prevent the man from being electrocuted.
He was eventually rescued after falling onto a giant inflatable cushion set up by firefighters below.
The man later told reporters in China that he had drank a lot in a bad mood.
State TV reported that the man sustained no injuries but was found to have excessive alcohol in his body.
