Zimbabwe to relax visa requirements for Chinese nationals
03 Jul 2013 at 06:10hrs | Views

The Zimbabwean government may relax visa requirements for Chinese nationals in a bid to attract more visitors from the country.
According to the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority, the government is eager to grant China Category A status, which would allow Chinese nationals to enter the country without a visa. However, the Zimbabwe visa regime applies reciprocally and therefore needs to be agreed upon by both countries.
The Zimbabwe Department of Immigration is piloting an e-visa platform that allows Chinese tourists to apply for visas online and shortens the process to three working days.
