MDC-T members in the UK are furious after they were effectively barred from a meeting with party leader, Morgan Tsvangirai in London tomorrow.
Tonderai Samanyanga, chairman of MDC-T UK & Ireland said only elected executive members of Branches, Districts and Province including their Women and Youth Assembly executives are invited to meet the MDc-T President.
"All the elected executive members of Branches, Districts and Province including their Women and Youth Assembly executives are invited," said the Samanyanga.
The MDc-T National Organising Secretary was not able to travel to UK and as a result Tsvangirai will meetith in a closed door meeting with executive members. There will be no rally.
"Please note that due to some situations beyond our control the National Organising Secretary was not able to travel to UK on this occasion. As a result this meeting will be a closed door meeting of structures with the President and only the above mentioned members will be allowed to attend and there wont be any rally this time," he said.
The meeting is being held at Croydon Conference Centre from 10.30 in the morning. This is the first time Tsvangirai has been in London after he lost the election to President Mugabe.
He is under increasing pressure to quit the leadership of the party after he failed to dislodge Mugabe from power. But he has said he was going nowhere.
Tsvangirai is also best remembered in the UK for being booed and heckled when he told Zimbabweans to return home.
