Zim girl to undergo spine surgery in Oklahoma City

A young girl from Zimbabwe the Oklahoma City in the United States of America preparing for a delicate surgery on her spine. The surgery is expected to alleviate pain, and ensure her spine grows the right way News9 reported.
Michaela Hallamore, 12, suffers from scoliosis, a painful condition resulting from curvature of the spine.
A Radiologist in Oklahoma, Dr Byron Christie, heard about the girl when he was on a safari in Zimbabwe a few years ago.
Dr Christie says several local medical professionals have donated money and services to ensure the surgery this Friday is a success.
Michaela and her family flew into Oklahoma City a few weeks ago, and are staying with Dr Christie's family. She says she is "nervous" about the surgery.
Her parents say they have been heartened by all the generosity shown by Oklahomans who have stepped up to help.
