To some extent it is correct for the woman to sue. That would stop men from mistreating women. However, thorough investigations must be carried to find out the offender and be punished heavily. In a lot of times those who want to exorbitantly sue would be at fault, e.g Locardia and Tsvangirai's case.

Tsvangiryi was not wrong anyway. If I were in his marriage situation, I would just ignore the lady for good. The problem is our Law ; and media

  • nyika

    08 Nov 2012 at 15:58hrs

Actually its people like Locadia who abuse the judiciary and set the wrong precedent that such foolish cases can be admitted at the courts. The PM was only protecting his image thats why he had to pay the damages.

  • nyika

The PM,s case is different, Locadia was pregnant. This is abuse of the judiciary system. Was she raped or she agreed to donate her viginity.

Why is it tht at some point its said we are equal and the same bt wen it comes to other issues women are lower?? If u open your legs know the results. This is not rape so dnt waste the court's time please

@itai how many women will end up in court

  • getreal

    08 Nov 2012 at 15:41hrs

Where does the PM come onto this? He didn't pop any cherries? Most of those women even had kids so I'm sure they were all sexually active without necessarily expecting marriage. The courts would have 1km queues if such a president was set - no sane magistrate would ever grant such a ridiculous petition.

  • Moyo Roy

    08 Nov 2012 at 15:40hrs

i think PM is to blame on this one, he shouldn't have said he was paying $300 000 for damages, he should have told that woman to move on aaahhh!

it would appeal in a conservative society, but given the questionability levels of morals in zimbabwe, then the courts would be flooded with sex lawsuits.
