We have many heroes in Matebeleland who are unsung. Why then should a stadium situated in the heart of Mthwakazi, the pride of the Ndebele people be named after a South African hero? Yes, Madiba is an international icon but i grew up being told that charity begins at home. Even South African stadiums like Peter Mokaba stadium in Polokwane are named after their own local heroes. If they want to change the name of BF stadium, the home of Highlanders, the pride of Bulawayo, then it should be named after our heroes and leaders. Since the stadia is in or near Mzilikazi, then it better be named Mzilikazi stadium. Or even named after our soccer legends like Adam Ndlovu. There is absolutely no need to name the stadium after Madiba as long as we don't have others named after our own heroes...

Vusa Dube South Africa & Mandela in particular has done so much for Africa & Zimbabwe , especially thina from Matebeleland.
