Would Zimbabweans welcome Nigeria, Uganda anti-gay stunts? - Live Discussion

Asimeni kancane ngezika Roy [Moyo Roy] ezombangazwe lokhulu and focus on some burning social issues.

Last week I read a story on one online tabloid saying Uganda has passed a bill that seeks to deprive gays and lesbians the right to things like accommodation and other basic rights, anyone who is caught harbouring gays will be imprisoned, if you help them in any way you will also be put to prison and so on, and I even saw a graphic image of one sitabane (gay) who was burnt to death, it was so cruel, its sad how human beings treat each other in this world.

I'm sure we all know most of our fellow country men are anti-gay, but is it right to kill them and deprive them of basic human rights?, do you think the bill is right,? are they not human like any of us, I feel the bill is too harsh, will Zimbabweans welcome such a bill?

zimbawean law is calles roman dutch law coz it is largely derived from the main religion christianity any thing less desirable to christianity is reflected on our laws as much as the bible speaks against gays and lesbians our laws are hand in glove about the issue so tbe bible says follow the laws of the land if u feel the urge to be gay go to a land that accepts it

@anonymous, then i appeal to you lets start with the director of gays and lesbians. Y even call him a director?? If we start with the head of the house then we would have win souls for Jesus Christ. Some of these guys they dnt want to hear about the God that we serve(Jesus), its wise that our media which has more catchment of readers must help in preaching the word against homosexuality unlike what some sections do, thus attacking Men of God. Like wat you said lets preach to them, how then shall we when we dont know them? In terms of elimination, you said it yourself, condemnation!!

@brian, the same bible you read is the one I read. Lets call a spade a spade, homosexuality is wrong period, its unnatural, there are so many verses to support that. I am glad u put the word of God as is, what I meant is after praying, we take action preach to them, get them delivered. I know and heard of people who lived such a life who are now normal after deliverance. If they don’t accept the gospel of Jesus Christ, then they are condemned. What do you mean by then need to be eliminated?

anonymous du u knw y i quote the bible?? This matter is a serious case which should not be tolerated @ all cost. I did not even judge i plainly put on the table how God would act if we dont but remember these people when given the go ahead, have no decency of the way we behave. How can you pray for some1 to be delivered wen they dnt come to church?? These guys realy know that what they would be doin is against God Almighty, they need to be eliminated or not to be given space(rights) period!!!

@brian, will you be the 1st to throw them in the crocodile river? remember the bible say thou shall not kill...I am a born again straight christian, happily married to a woman and a father of one. I do not embrace or advocate for homosexuality, it is wrong & its against God’s principle on creation. Killing them is no solution, we have to pray against the spread of this act in Zim, for salvation & deliverance of such. Ur rite God will be harsh if we don’t preach truth to them and if we kill them.

this issue of homosexuals should not be accepted at all cost. Remember its the same issue that made God Himself to come down here on earth on the days of sodom and gomorah Genesis 18v20-21, then tou stand up and say human rights for what?? These people must be fed to crocodiles in Hwange national park. Least we must be harsh to them before God became harsh to every1 of us

Homosexuality is wrong & never right. If God our creator condemns it, who are we to embrace it? I think the bill is too harsh, if we cant allow them to rent houses, buy from shops & do business, isn’t that violation of human rights (not gay rights)?. How can we preach light when we harm them. I don’t welcome the bill. However if caught practising in public or sodomising straight people, they should be punished accordingly by the law. Killing will not solve the problem, prayer & deliverance can.

I really don't like what gay people do behind their closed doors, as long as they don't do it in front of my eyes it don't bother me at all. Let he without sin cast the first stone. Are you telling me that those people who burn gays alive are any holly, killing someone is a sin as well
