Bulawayo Central legislator Dorcas Sibanda posted on Whatsapp that the Minister of Finance and Economic Development, Hon. Patrick Chinamasa, had intended to fast-track the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe Amendment Bill in Parliament this week.

"However, he changed his mind yesterday and allowed the Bill to be subjected to public scrutiny in conformity with Section 141 of the Constitution. The Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe Amendment Bill has caused a lot of anxiety in the country as it seeks to pave way for the introduction of controversial Bond Notes as legal tender at par with the US Dollar.
