Popular musician Oliver Mtukudzi on Saturday walked out of a chaotic Sulumani Chimbetu's highly-publicised wedding.

Mtukudzi and his wife Daisy left the venue around 1pm. The  wedding was  originally set to kick off at 11 am.

Proceeding's only started at 2:30 pm "as the groom and his family went into a long closed door meeting upon arrival at the venue".

That was after Chimbetu's former wife Marigold Mutemasango made a last ditch spirited attempt to block his wedding to Linda Samuriwo at Zimbali Gardens in Greendale.

Reports gleaned by Bulawayo24.com reveal that Mutemasango stormed the venue armed with court papers aimed at stopping the wedding.

She claimed she was still married to the musician, although they separated eight years ago.

The pair has two children together.

"There was no need for her to come today (Saturday) to the ceremony, as the matter was determined on Friday at the court, when the marriage officer dismissed her objection" an unnamed source is quoted saying by the privately run NewsDay.
