A political analyst Vince Musewe has insinuated that the failed economic policies implemented by the ruling Zanu PF are self destroying as the people demand a better life from those who lead them.
He said failure by the ruling party to make human capital the centre of the nation was detrimental.
"We must put human capital at the centre. One thing I know for sure is that the political and economic system created by Zanu PF is not self sustaining over time," Musewe said.
"Any system that does not put the preservation and development of human capital at its centre will atrophy and die as people demand a better quality meaningful and productive life. The High unemployment and poverty reflect the failure of our social system to create meaningful endeavour for many. We will create a Zimbabwe where our people are not a means to political power but an end in themselves."
He said it is only then that people will see the exploitation of their endowments as a country to the benefits of citizens.
"This will require a strong compelling inclusive vision and the ability to project manage to implement key economic and social transformation. For me that is the ability we lack in many of our political parties. The ability to manage resources efficiently and plan effectively. Without that we will remain where we are as a country," he said.
