Strippers cash in on bond notes

Bond notes are proving to be a hit among Bulawayo strippers as they claim to have raised their daily earnings.
Strippers now prefer the controversial notes rather than the US dollar whose lowest bill is $1.
"I really prefer being tipped in bond as the lowest denomination is two compared to the US dollar where a dollar is the lowest note. I therefore get more money if I get a tip in bond," said a stripper at Private Lounge, a strip-tease club.
She added, "While we once in a while get $50/$100 as a single tip, it's these smaller denominations which count more as that's what the everyday client can afford."
Bond notes have been in circulation for two weeks and the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe has so far injected $17 million into the market.
However, some business operators still shun accepting the notes.
