A 'fake' plane crash report at the Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo International Airport in Bulawayo Thursday morning almost claimed the lives of seven Zimbabwe Republic Police officers.
Reacting to the 'accident' call from aviation authorities, the cops rushed to the airport only to overturn along the way.
The Land Rover Defender driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle which veered off the road, reports show.
The injured officers were rushed to Mpilo Central Hospital for treatment.
Airport manager Passmore Dewa said the plane 'crash' involving a Zambian plane was meant to test emergency preparedness at the airport and educate people on the do's and don'ts.
