Health risk at Zanu PF conference

A health hazard is looming at Masvingo Showgrounds, the venue of Zanu PF annual conference.
Reports gleaned by Bulawayo24.com indicate that the venue has inadequate ablution facilities to cater for about 7000 expected delegates.
Private run NewsDay reports that 'the venue does not have adequate toilets and with the rains that are hitting the province, it was all muddy'.
It quoted Masvingo acting chairperson Amasa Nenjana saying only "150 mobile toilets had been provided, while other toilets under construction were nearing completion".
However, state run Herald quoted
Secretary for Administration Ignatius Chombo saying "We are also happy
with the physical side of preparations for the conference, the water
situation, the toilet situation and the feeding points are all in good
shape,".
President Robert Mugabe and his family arrived Thursday evening and was quickly whisked to the conference venue for a briefing.
Zanu-PF has reportedly imposed a 12-hour curfew in Masvingo.
Mugabe is expected to officially open the conference today.
