Zanu PF Women's League has pleaded with the party  to implement its Victoria Falls conference resolution of  amending its constitution and appoint a woman in the presidium.

They are pressing for a return of the women's quota in the party's presidium.

The women want one of the vice presidential positions to be occupied by a member of the league.

Presenting Women's league resolutions during the on-going Zanu annual conference today (Saturday),  Eunice  Sandi-Moyo said party resolutions should be implemented in full.

"To reaffirm commitment and support to President Mugabe as the sole candidate of the party in the 2018 elections.

"That the party implements its Victoria Falls resolution to appoint  a woman in the presidium..." said Sandi-Moyo  who is a member of Zanu PF's politburo and deputy to the First Lady, Grace Mugabe.

At the Victoria Falls conference last year, the women agitated for a quota compelling the party to have a woman within the presidium, which is entirely composed of men.

It is made up of party president and first secretary,  Mugabe and his two deputies, Emmerson Mnangagwa and Phelekezela Mphoko.

Secretary for administration, Ignatius Chombo, is an ex-officio member of the presidium.
