Woman stabbed for rejecting love proposal

A 20-year-old woman from Bulawayo sustained a deep cut on the arm after being stabbed at a night club for rejecting a love proposal.
Lindani Moyo was stabbed with a broken bottle at 3 am by Thabo Moyo aged 21 who pleaded guilty.
The injuries might be permanent, the court heard.
The court heard that Thabo was irritated by the rejection at an undisclosed night club.
"The complainant rejected the accused's love proposal and he got angry. He stabbed the complainant once on the right arm.
"According to a medical report, the complainant sustained a deep cut that may cause a permanent injury or disfigurement," prosecutor Leonard Chile told magistrate Batanai Tuwe last Friday.
Thabo is due for sentencing today.
