Student drowns in Zambezi River attemping to save sinking lover

A frantic effort to rescue a drowning girlfriend in the mighty Zambezi River in Binga turned fatal for a 22 year old National University of Science and Technology (Nust) student.
Muzi Tshuma who was part of Seventh Day Adventist Church youth camp drowned in the river on Wednesday.
His body was retrieved by police sub-aqua unit on Thursday.
According to reports, more than 3000 youths from the church are camped in Binga.
They were under strict instructions not to stray into the water.
However, Tshuma and some friends decided otherwise and went for a swim.
His lover is said to have appeared to be drowning.
That forced Tshuma to try and save her.
"The girl survived but he went under" a source is quoted saying.
