Pickpocket thieves has reportedly descended on the border town of Beitbridge this festive season.
According to Newsday a total of 70 cases of pickpocketing were reported in one day alone.
According to the publication some tricksters use remote control devices to jam the remote locking system of travellers' cars, which then they later ransacked.
A security guard reportedly said: "the tricksters activate a remote control simultaneously with someone using that system to lock their car neutralising the operation.... The car fails to lock and when someone is absorbed in the proceedings they steal from the car."
