Soldier rape neighbour, flee leaving shoe behind

A 26 year old soldier, Elson Ndlovu allegedly raped a neighbour in Plumtree while her two siblings aged nine and 15 years were sleeping in the same hut.
Ndlovu is said to have fled the hut leaving behind his shoe after the siblings had woken up.
The victim is aged 16.
Narrating to the court, prosecutor Elisha Mazorodze said Ndlovu sneaked into he bedroom hut at around 1am.
That was on Tuesday this week.
"On 27 December around 1am, Ndlovu opened the juveniles bedroom door which was unlocked and gained entry.
"He covered her mouth with his hand to stop her from screaming and threatened to kill her if she alerted her siblings.
"He pinned her to the bed, removed her clothes and raped her while her two siblings were asleep,".
Ndlovu's victim was struggling to scream as her mouth was covered by a hand.
When the victim's 15-year-old sister woke up, she bolted out of the hut and rushed to report the matter to her aunt who was sleeping in a separate room.
Ndlovu fled from the homestead and left behind a shoe.
Ndlovu is based at 5.2 Infantry Battalion in Kwekwe.
He is being represented by Prince Butshe of Mathonsi Ncube Law Chambers.
Magistrate Taurai Manwere remanded him in custody to January 10.
