Warriors trusted player, Khama Billiat is still holding the team at ransom as he is still to join camp.
Billiat is expected to only hook up with the rest of the squad tomorrow.
Images of the midfielder in night clubs and playing social soccer in Mufakose have been circulating on social media.
Also still to join is Knowledge Musona but coach Kalisto Pasuwa said his absence is "well explained".
When they eventually join the squad to start training , that would be less than 48 hours before Pasuwa names his final squad.
According to Zimbabwe Football Association spokesperson (ZIFA) XolisaniGwesela, Pasuwa would pick his man by Wednesday which is the deadline set by the Confederation of African Football for all the 16 participating countries to hand in their final lists of players.
"The deadline is 4 January, we should be announcing the squad on that day.
"We will advise on the 3rd of January how we will announce the squad, whether through a Press conference or the Zifa website.
"The team leaves on 8 January for a friendly match on 10 January then they leave Cameroon for Gabon on 12 January," Gwesela is quoted saying.
