A classroom and school office blocks at John Tallach High in
Ntabazinduna were destroyed by a heavy storm that hit the area on
Tuesday.
Vital documents at the administration block could have been destroyed, Sunday reports indicate
A Form One block and the dining hall and the headmaster's office had their roofs blown away.
The School Development Committee (SDC) chairperson Jackson Ndlovu confirmed the destruction.
However, he could not quantify the damage but said the school will be ready for re-opening on January 10.
"Parents should not panic thinking that we are not going to open. The school will open as per calendar and the pupils will find everything in shape," he is quoted saying.
