Retrenched security guard commit suicide

A 34 year old man, Jason Mlalazi hanged himself from a tree in Mangwe as he could not take the pain of being retrenched.
His lifeless body was found hanging in a bushy area by two women on Saturday who were collecting firewood.
Police confirmed the incident saying his body did not have any injuries.
According to the Chronicle, a village head from Ingwizi area, Jabulani Moyo said Mlalazi worked at a security company.
"Mlalazi was staying alone at his house because he was not originally from Mangwe.
" He was working for a security company until he was retrenched two weeks ago. This unfortunate development seems to have affected him because he started drinking heavily ever since".
Moyo said Mlalazi's friends hinted that he was planning committing suicide.
Mlalazi was originally from Nkayi.
