Man rape,stab wife in the bush

An unnamed Bulawayo man aged 28 reportedly raped his wife in a bush and then stabbed her three times after threatening to commit suicide.
The wife is aged 19.
She had her clothes torn.
The incident happened at around 11PM along Plumtree Road near Bellevue suburb last Thursday.
The pair were walking to their home in Sizinda.
To cover up his tracks, the man then rushed to the police station to report a false robbery, a magistrate heard.
In court, the man pleaded not guilty to rape, attempted murder and supplying false information to the police when he appeared before Bulawayo Provincial Magistrate Tinashe Tashaya.
He is custody to January 26 for trial.
He said he was drunk and lost recollection of events.
