Prof Mutambara hard to understand - Judge

PROFESSOR Arthur Oliver Guseni Mutambara is a very hard person to understand because of his actions, a High Court Judge has said.
In his 13 page judgement at hand, Justice Lawrence Kamocha wrote on page 12 last paragraph:
"The Respondent's conduct is difficult to follow and understand in the light of the fact that he had attended the party's congress and addressed it as such.
"He had participated in full and accepted the outcome for at least four weeks and then suddenly issued press statements claiming to have re-assumed the party presidency and thereafter seek to dismiss the legitimate president of the party.
"Further, the Respondent had allocated to himself powers which even the legitimate president of the party does not have in terms of the party's constitution," reads the judgement in part.
The learned judge confirmed an earlier relief order barring Prof Mutambara from masquerading as the MDC leader.
The power wrangle between Prof Ncube and his east while friend Prof Mutambara started in January this year at the MDCD congress in Harare. Prof Mutambara led a group of 13 rebels who argued that there was a breach of processes that led t the subsequent election of Prof Ncube as the party president.
