Gunshots at Beitbridge Border post

A suspected thief is recuperating at Beitbridge Hospital under police guard after being shot at the border post early Saturday morning.
Sunboy Simango, and four others had broke into haulage trucks after disarming a security guard.
Quoting sources, state controlled Herald reported that Simango had entered the border with two others with the intention of stealing goods from trucks waiting for clearance by the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority on the arrivals commercial section.
A alert security guards patrolling the area spotted them.
"The trio resisted and started throwing stones at the guards, while Simango, who was carrying a metal bar, charged at one of the armed guards" said a source.
The security guard fired one warning shot in the air, but Simango kept on advancing towards him.
He said the guard then shot Simango once on the left arm leading to his arrest.
