A genuine process of national healing and reconciliation is only possible if there is honest admission by the people who have committed different crimes of violence says co-Minister in the Oogan of national healing Moses Mzila Ndlovu, zicora.com reported on Monday.

"We want truth to be told for healing to be possible. The victims should be allowed to tell us their different experiences," said Ndlovu. "We want peace and that peace should come as a result of admission by the perpetrators."

Ndlovu was addressing hundreds of MDC supporters that filled to capacity Stanley Hall in Makokoba on Sunday.

The fearless MDC minister also condemned the 1983 Gukurahundi genocide believed to be the heaviest crime committed by President Mugabe and Zanu-PF against people of Matabeleland.

Under the Mugabe regime, many Ndebele people and thought Zapu supporters were displaced with more 20 000 said to have been butchered in the Matabeleland and Midlands provinces.

However, the Organ of National Healing and Reconciliation has failed to resolve the issue because of sharp differences among parties in the inclusive government.

Other members of the organ are John Nkomo of Zanu-PF and Sekai Holland representing MDC-T
