Progressive Teachers Union of Zimbabwe secretary general Raymond Majongwe has said protest movements led by Tajamuka have no business in lending their support to civil servants planned Monday bonus protests.
Early this week, Tajamuka and vendors had indicated they will join the demonstration to bolster it.
However, Majongwe said: "We have made our position clear. Tajamuka and vendors have nothing to do with our strike. I have a feeling that trade unions meet on their own to discuss their issues and no one interferes with their processes. This issue is between us and our employer."
Zimbabwe Teachers Association chief executive officer Sifiso Ndlovu also said they do not need any back up.
"We do not want to be used by people who are pursuing a different agenda" he told state media.
"We do not want to be part of these opportunistic elements. They are opportunistic elements who want to infect our clean process".
Civil servants are pressing for their outstanding 2016 bonuses to be paid in cash immediately.
However, Government is prepared to offer residential stands.
