Chiredzi Christian school bus in accident as it ferries youths to Mugabe birthday bash

A Chiredzi Christian College school bus was involved in an accident while carrying Zanu PF supporters to President Robert Mugabe`s birthday celebrations in Matopos recently.
MP for Chiredzi West Darlington Chiwa who organised the trip said the bus was hit from behind by a GMB vehicle along the Tanganda - Ngundu road but it was not seriously damaged.
There has been a public outcry against the use of school buses by political parties as the parties are not paying anything in case of accidents. Others argued that the buses are bought through parents' hard earned cash and some parents are not members of those political parties using the buses.
There are also others who argued that using school facilties for political reasons paused serious safety risks to children.
"I can confirm that the bus was involved in an a road accident after it was hit by a GMB vehicle from behind. It received a minor dent on its back which cannot take it off the road," said Chiwa.
