A man from Maparara Village in Mwenezi under Chief Chitanga assaulted a woman next door because she had refused him permission to drop his wife's clothes whom he believed was having an affair with the later's husband.
Moses Sirove (35) rode his bicycle into Letwin Kwerengwe's homestead in Village 1, Bonora and wanted to leave his wife's suitcase there. He accused Kwerengwe's husband of having an affair with his wife.
Kwerengwe, however, protested against the move and insisted that the suitcase should not be left at the homestead and this angered Sirove who went on to assault Kwerengwe with claps and fists.
Magistrate Honest Musiiwa convicted Sirove of assault and fined him $30 or 15 days imprisonment.
Musiiwa suspended two months of the sentence for five years on condition of good behaviour. The fine is supposed to be paid on or before February 28, 2017.
