Man (26) gets 15 years behind bars over stock theft charges

A 26-year-old Mushimbi man was slapped with 15 year effective jail term for stealing two beasts by Guruve magistrate Artwell Sanyatwi on 15 March.
Stanard Ranjisi pleaded guilty to the stock charge and was slapped with an effective 15 year jail term.
In a related case 25-year-old Mushumbi based Evanms Mutemachani was sentenced to 9 years in prison for stealing one cow.
Cases of stock theft are mushrooming in Mashonaland Central province especially in Mbire district.
