Cop dies on the spot in road accident

A 29 year old Zimbabwe Republic Police cop who was stationed at Chivhu station died on the spot after he failed to negotiate a curve at the 66 kilometre peg along Rusape-Nyanga highway on 17 March.
Sources close to investigations allege an unlicensed driver Maqetsha John (29) who had two passengers Moses Mapfumo and a female cop Kudzai Loice failed to negotiate a curve and lost control of the vehicle.
"The deceased was driving his Toyota Wish with two passengers on board when he lost control at 66km peg at a curve on steep decent along Rusape-Nyanga and the vehicle overturned twice .
"John sustained head injuries and died on the spot while Mapfumo and Loice are admitted at Nyanga district hospital but they are in stable condition," said the source
