A man from Bulawayo city centre was in trouble after he assaulted a 17 year old step son when he tried to intervene while he was assaulting his wife.
Raymond Tserima (39) was denying the charge of assault when he appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Franklin Mkhwananzi. The magistrate however found him not guilty and acquitted him at the close of the state case.
Allegations were that on March 19 this year at 530pm Tserima was at home assaulting his wife who is the mother of the 17 year old boy.
The boy arrived during that time from church and tried to restrain his stepfather. Tserima started assaulting the boy with fists and he sustained swollen neck. A report made to the police led to stepfather's arrest.
