Floods to pound Matabeleland South tommorow

Heavy floods are expected to hit Matabeleland South tomorrow, the Meteorological Services Department has warned.
Some parts of the Midlands and Masvingo would not be spared.
Rains in excess of 70mm in 24 hours are predicted, the weatherman said.
"A cloud system is projected to start entering Zimbabwe through Matabeleland provinces on Thursday, leading to heavy rains in Matabeleland South, south of Midlands and Masvingo.
"This is highly conducive to flash flooding and the public is advised to be vigilant, especially in areas that have already borne the brunt of excessive water and flooding," the department said.
The rainy season has been characterized by heavy rains and floods leaving a trail of destruction.
Hundreds of families in Tsholotsho suffered immersely from the floods and had their homesteads completely destroyed.
