Zanu PF Politburo members struggled to pin point who the late Central Intelligence Organization (CIO) top operative Zenzo Ntuliki  Ncube was  as ' members professing ignorance about his activities', Minister of State Security Kembo Mohadi has disclosed.

Ncube who died last Friday in Bulawayo will be buried on Saturday at the National Heroes Acre in Harare after the 'Politburo resoundingly endorsed his national hero status'.

Last night, Bulawayo24.com first revealed on his statues.

Mohadi told   last night that Ncube had been declared a national hero joining some top spies at the heroes acre.

"I thought I should convey this message to you which isn't my message but on behalf of party and the Government that this is what we've decided about Zenzo. He's a national hero and we've declared him so,"  Mohadi is quoted saying.

"Of all the members of the Politburo only five said they didn't know him and the rest indicated that they knew Zenzo and that he should be conferred the national hero status.

"So he has been conferred that honour by his party, and the Government for his contribution during and after the liberation struggle, and this is what we thought we should give him as a send-off."

At the time of his death, Nucbe   was the CIO assistant director in charge of the Western region.

The Western region covers Bulawayo, Masvingo, Matabeleland North and Matabeleland South as well as the Midlands provinces.

Last year, Ncube was in and out of hospital.
