President Robert Mugabe has arrived in Bulawayo for the official opening of the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) set for tomorrow.

He was met at the Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo International Airport by the two vice presidents: Phelekezela Mphoko and Emmerson Mnangagwa, the Minister of State for Bulawayo Province Eunice Sandi Moyo, the Minister of Industry and Commerce Mike Bimha, the Minister of Information, Media and Broadcasting Services Dr Christopher Mushohwe, the Minister of War Veterans Tshinga Dube and other senior government officials.

The ZITF will be officially opened by the Namibian President Hage Geingob, who is already in the country.

This year's ZITF is running under the theme: 'Harnessing Linkages For Industrial Development.'

Meanwhile, Vice President Phelekezela Mphoko has hailed the quality of exhibitions at the ZITF, saying they confirm that the country's economy is on a rebound.

Speaking earlier today after a tour of stands at ZITF, Mphoko said the quality and diversity of products is impressive, adding that the products on show meet international standards.

Mphoko toured Turnall, Zimtrade, Hardwoods for Africa, Mawabeni Designs, Mpilo Central Hospital, South African, Namibian, United Refineries, Command Agriculture, Zanu PF and Alpha and Omega Dairy stands.
