A mass is planned for the late retired Chief Justice Godfrey Chidyausiku at Chishawasha Mission on Friday.
Chidyausiku died on Wednesday last week, in South Africa, after battling with kidney and liver problems.
He is set to be buried at the National Heroes Acre on Saturday.
According to the Master of Ceremonies and Chaplain General of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces, Colonel Joseph Nyakudya the body will leave Harare at 10 am heading to Chishawasha for the mass.
Nyakudya said the Mass will start at 11 am at the mission grounds to accommodate the masses, StarFM News reported.
The body would be flown back to Harare where it will lie in state at the family's Highlands home.
Chidyausiku left the bench two months ago after he reached the mandatory retirement age of 70, having led the judiciary for 15 years, which included some of the country's most trying times.
His recent retirement was blighted somewhat by the ugly rows which erupted over the appointment of his successor, when the selection decidedly took a Zanu PF factional tone, as rival camps fought to install a candidate acceptable to their respective interest groups.
