ZIFA president Philip Chiyangwa has vowed to take 'thorough' action presumably on Highlanders following crowed trouble on Sunday against Dynamos at Barbourfields.
Chiyangwa said "Bulawayo cannot be a no-go area in as far as football is concerned," state media reported him as saying Tuesday.
"I am not in a position to comment much at the moment, but what I can promise is that we are going to be thorough in dealing with this problem.
"Bulawayo cannot be a no-go area in as far as football is concerned," Chiyangwa said.
I am not going to tolerate a situation where Zimbabwe is going to be sore sight for football. No one forces hooligans to come to the stadium, they must just stay at their homes," he added.
Highlanders is set to appear before the Premier Soccer League disciplinary hearing next Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Highlanders supporters have wasted no time in launching a fund raising campaign in anticipation for a hefty fine.
Fans are requested to donate a dollar each towards bailing out their team.
Pitch invasion or missile throwing carries a $2 000 fine.
An estimated 18 177 football fans paid to watch the game which only lasted 40 minutes.
